Nicola Spirig helps build commitment
"fit4future Activity Days" further
Triathlon Olympic champion Nicola Spirig is expanding her commitment to promoting health and exercise in childhood. Together with the Pho3nix Foundation, the 39-year-old from Zurich will be an ambassador for the "fit4future Activity Days".
The triathlon events created by Nicola Spirig have existed since 2014 with the aim of motivating children and young people to exercise more in everyday life. Thanks to the cooperation with the Pho3nix Foundation, the events, now known as "Pho3nix Kids Triathlon by Nicola Spirig", now have an impressive reach throughout Switzerland.
Now the mother of three and five-time Olympic Games participant is expanding her commitment. For the "fit4future" school program, which the Cleven Foundation initiated in 2005 and which now offers a wide range of exercise, nutrition and brain fitness in 900 primary schools throughout Switzerland, Spirig will be an ambassador for the "Activity Days". «We are very happy about the partnership with 'Pho3nix Kids by Nicola Spirig'. Together we can unite even more power to get involved in the playful promotion of health and physical activity for children throughout Switzerland," says Pascale Vögeli, Managing Director of the Cleven Foundation Switzerland. "As a top athlete and mother, Nicola Spirig is the ideal ambassador for this program."
Modular sports day for school classes
At the "Activity Days", a total of seven classes can experience a varied sports day in various exciting modules. As with all "fit4future" offers, participation is free of charge. Each of the half-hour modules focuses on having fun while exercising. At the same time, team spirit within the class is encouraged. The "Activity Days" are very popular. Six performances are planned for 2022 - and all are already fully booked.
"I'm incredibly proud to be part of such a diverse support program," says Nicola Spirig. “The children move and experience something together. At the same time, they learn more about healthy nutrition in a playful way and promote their mental strength. It's not just about sports; the «Activity Days» are also a great school for life.
